Causation
Glossary.
- Causal state
- A group of past histories that all lead to the same future. The smallest set of these that predicts a process as well as possible is its causal structure.
- Correlation
- Two things tending to occur together. Useful for prediction, silent about why.
- Confidence
- How sure the engine is of a belief, from zero to one, together with how fast that is changing.
- Departure
- Behaviour that the learned states did not expect. The basis of every alert.
- Abstain
- Decline to answer or act because confidence is too low. Preferred to a guess.
- Anima
- Everything a Senua AI engine has learned: its causal states and its knowledge. Its size follows what it has learned, not a fixed model file.
- Nexus
- Senua AI's protocol for sharing what one device has learned with others.
- SenuaOS
- A minimal operating system that boots a device straight into the engine.
- Simplex
- Senua AI's own programming language and compiler, in which the engine is written.
- Edge
- A computer on or near the thing being watched or controlled, rather than in a data centre.
