Standards
The six essential practices.
The National AI Centre's Guidance for AI Adoption sets six essential practices, known as AI6, for every organisation that develops or uses AI. Here is how our software helps you apply each one.
| Practice | How we help you apply it |
|---|---|
| 1. Decide who is accountable | One supplier answers for the whole system: no third-party model or AI service inside. Our responsibilities and yours are published. |
| 2. Understand impacts and plan accordingly | Every block carries a reference to its evidence record, so a decision someone challenges can be looked up and reviewed. |
| 3. Measure and manage risks | Narrow AI with one job: judging requests against your own learned normal. It is not general purpose or agentic AI. |
| 4. Share essential information | Every component is ours and it learns only from your own data, so its supply chain and its one data source are known. |
| 5. Test and monitor | Our results on public data are published. Report-only mode shows every verdict on your own traffic before anything is blocked. |
| 6. Maintain human control | Blocking stays off until an administrator switches it on, can be switched off at any time, and every change is audited. |
What kind of AI it is
We do not use models. No LLMs. No SLMs. Of any kind. The software learns cause and effect directly from your own system's data, on your own hardware, and keeps the evidence behind every block. In the guidance's terms it is narrow AI: one task, no general purpose use, and no agency. It calls no tools, generates no content and takes no instructions from what it reads.
For your AI register
Practice 4.1 asks you to keep an AI register. For our software: it judges requests to your web services against what it has learned is normal for them. It learns from your own traffic and nothing else. It runs on your servers, and what it learns stays there, encrypted under your key. Senua AI is accountable for the software; you are accountable for its use. A person stays in control through report-only mode and the audited blocking switch, and any block can be traced by its reference.
